Dr Zoltan K Nagy is a Professor and leader of the Process Control and Pharmaceutical Systems Engineering Research Group in the Chemical Engineering Department at Loughborough University, United Kingdom. His research interests include: pharmaceutical systems engineering, modelling, monitoring, optimization and control of chemical processes in particular crystallization systems, population balance modelling, and process analytical technologies. He is Subject Editor (Pharmaceutical Engineering) for Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Associate Editor for Control Engineering Practice, and elected member of the Crystallisation Working Party of the European Federation of Chemical Engineers. Dr. Nagy received numerous best paper awards for his contributions in the field of crystallisation control, the Chemical Research Collaboration Success Award, from the Council for Chemical Research, USA (2009), and was shortlisted twice consecutively for the Innovator of the Year Award of IChemE (2011, and runner up in 2010). He is one of the recipients of the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Fellowship.
