Matthias Geiger's Biography

Matthias Geiger, Research Scientist, RWTH Aachen University

Matthias Geiger studied industrial engineering (B.Sc.) and industrial engineering with a specialization in chemical engineering (M.Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University. In his PhD at the institute of chemical process engineering at RWTH Aachen in the group of Prof. Matthias Wessling, Matthias Geiger studies methods to mimic the biological silk spinning process. By leveraging additive manufacturing to produce complex microfluidic devices, he develops and studies devices for the spinning of protein microfibers.
