Dr. Jyotsnendu Giri received his PhD from IIT, Bombay and did postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech, USA) and National Institute of Health (NIH), USA. After his postdoctoral research he worked as Jr. Project Leader at American Dental Association and Foundation, USA. He joined as assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad in 2013. He has received several national/international awards including prestigious National Research Council (NRC), USA Fellowship and Department of Biotechnology (DBT), India Ramaligaswami Fellowship. He has published several research articles in high impact journals (Advanced Materials, IF: 15.40; ACS Nano, IF: 12.03 etc.) in the field nanobiotechnology field. Engineering Nanomaterials and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory (eNARM) at IIT, Hyderabad led by Dr. Giri primarily focuses on the development of novel biomaterials for clinical application such as cancer treatment and regenerative medicine application.
