Byung-Kwan Cho, Assistant Professor, Korea Advanced Institute of Science And Technology

Byung-Kwan Cho is Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Concurrently, he is holding an adjunct professorship at the KAIST Institute for the BioCentury aiming at becoming “A world-class institute for its excellence in interdisciplinary research in biology, biotechnology and bio-related fields”. Before joining KAIST, he was a project scientist of University of California, San Diego (La Jolla, USA) on the systems biology. Prior to this he completed his Ph.D degree on biotechnology and biochemical engineering from Seoul National University (Seoul, Korea). His current research involves study of systems and synthetic biology approaches to understand biological design principle. To this end, he is leading a research group, in which novel high-throughput technologies are developing to provide highly conclusive biological information.
