Vinod Kumar Kansal, President - R & D, Teva API India Ltd

Dr. V. K. Kansal is President of the R&D, TEVA API INDIA LTD, located at Greater Noida.. Before joining TEVA, he was Vice president of R&D, Alembic Limited, Vadodora ( Feb. 2002 to May, 2004), Associate Director, Lupin Laboratory ( 1994-2002) and Group Leader, at ICI and Hoechst Research Center.
Dr. Kansal obtained his Ph.D from CDRI in 1981 under the supervision of Dr. Bhaduri. After finishing his Ph.D, He joined University of Ulster, Colraine, N. Ireland as Research Associate with Prof W. E. Watts and K. C. Knipe and in subsequent year he Moved to University Of East Anglia, Norwich, as Senior Research Associate and pursued his research interest with Prof. R.J.K. Taylor. In 1983, He moved to CNRS, Gif Sur Yvette and worked with Prof. P. Potier at the interface of Chemistry and Biology
In 1986, Dr. Kansal obtained a faculty position in CNRS and moved to Pasteur Institute, Paris, as Charge du Research au CNRS and pursued research on Ant-sense oligonucleotide, synthetic DNA probes and adenylate kinase inhibitors.
Dr. Kansal has published 32 papers and 110 patents to his credit.
Dr. Kansal got TEVA Innovative Highest Award for Innovation in 2005 and 2009 and Twice the Regional Award in 2007 and 2009.
