Dhevalapally B Ramachary, Professor, University of Hyderabad

Dr Ramachary graduated with M.Sc. degree in School of Chemistry from University of Hyderabad and obtained Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2002. He subsequently held postdoctoral position at the Scripps Research Institute for Catalysis, prior to joining University of Hyderabad in 2005.
His research interests include Synthetic Organic Chemistry (Both Total Synthesis and Reaction Engineering), Organocatalysis (Small molecular catalysis), Development of MCR and MCC Reactions and Application of Organocatalysis in Other Disciplines.
He is a recipient of CRSI Bronze Medal-2016, Chancellor’s Award-2014, B. M. Birla Science Prize in Chemical Sciences for 2011, Anil Kumar Bose Memorial Award of the INSA 2010, Associate Fellow of the Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences-2010, Member of The National Academy of Sciences, India 2009, Member of The Royal Society of Chemistry 2014, and INSA Medal for Young Scientist 2006.
He received a Certificate of Appreciation as Best Thesis Adviser from Eli Lilly and Company, USA for last four consecutive years (2011-2014).
He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member, Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, RSC Journal 2013-present and Editorial Board Member, The Scientific World Journal 2011-present.
