Vuk Savkovic's Biography

Vuk Savkovic, Investigator, University of Leipzig

Vuk Savkovic, Biologist with PhD in Biochemistry, has been involved in translational research of hair follicle regenerative potential as Principal Investigator at the Translational Centre for Regenerative Medicine in Leipzig since 2009. Primarily, his research is focused on cultivation of melanocytes and keratinocytes from hair follicle for purposes of treating Vitiligo and wound healing. He also deals with further potential of the hair follicle stem cell pool, such as cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells, cell banking and translation of given models to other species.
