James Zhe Liu

Zhe Liu is a group leader at the Janelia Research Campus. Using advanced optical tools, his lab devises new strategies to quantitatively understand gene regulation dynamics in living cells. He received a BS degree from Tsinghua University, China. He received his PhD degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley. At UC Berkeley he studied transcriptional regulation of stem cell pluripotency under his advisor Robert Tjian.
