Dr Frank F Bier is professor of molecular bioanalytics and bioelectronics at the University of Potsdam and head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering IBMT in Potsdam. His current research is focused on new types of in vitro diagnostic platforms with a high degree of technological and biochemical integration.
