Overview

The 2nd. Annual SELECTBIO Circulating Biomarkers World Congress 2015 brings together academic researchers as well as industry participants to present and discuss the most up-to-date research and commercial activities in the translation of various circulating biomarker classes towards the clinic.

This conference track discusses Extracellular Vesicle (EV)-based Biomarkers -- contained within exosomes, microvesicles, and other EV classes.

Technologies for studying various classes of circulating biomarkers in EVs are presented as well as the potential applications of EVs beyond a source of biomarkers per se to more focused as vectors for therapeutic delivery.

Also presented are the characteristics of EV-based circulating biomarkers in various disease classes, such as Cancer, CVD, CNS disease, amongst others.

Agenda Topics

  • Circulating Biomarkers based on Epigenetic Modifications
  • EV Cargo and Biomarker Potential--Classes of Biomarker Cargo: DNA, RNA, Protein
  • EVs as Delivery Vehicles--Potential of EVs Beyond Biomarkers to Engineered Delivery Vectors for Therapeutics
    • Engineered Exosomes
    • Therapeutic Applications of Exosomes
  • Exosomes and Microvesicles in Various Disease Classes (such as Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, CNS, Immunology))
  • Exosomes, Microvesicles, and Other Classes of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) as Circulating Biomarkers
  • Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) for Characterizing Circulating Biomarkers
    • Applications of RNA-Seq for Studying Exosomes and Microvesicles
  • Technologies and Approaches for Isolating and Characterizing Circulating Biomarkers
