International Bioprinting Congress

Overview

Select Biosciences South East Asia is pleased to present the inaugural International Bioprinting Congress, which will take place at the Biopolis, Singapore on the 24-25 July 2014. 

The event will present the leading international scientists and thought leaders within this rapidly developing field. Featuring Professor Chua Chee Kai, Chair, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University and Director Nanyang Additive Manufacturing Centre, Singapore and Professor Makoto Nakamura, Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Research, University of Toyama, Japan as our conference chairs. This event will provide you with a detailed insight into the latest developments and techniques in 3D bioprinting.

During this conference, you will learn about the many advances in 3D bioprinting covering; Additive Manufacturing of Tissues and Biofabrication, Scaffolds and Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering, Biological Laser Printing, Biological Inkjet Printing, Search for the Synergy by Fusion of Bio-Additive Manufacturing and Micro Manufacturing, Cell and Tissue Patterning for Lab-on-a-Chip and Tissue Models plus Additive Manufacturing and Medical Devices.

The start of each day will follow the traditional format of scientific presentations from the leading experts, the afternoons will move into panel discussions covering the topics highlighted in the morning sessions. The panels will be made up of the morning presenters, the organising committee of Prof. Chua and Prof. Nakamura plus members from the international regulatory bodies and venture capitalists. The aim is to provide you with a balanced overview of the industry from the varied perspectives of the leading researchers, investors and legislative authorities.

In addition to the comprehensive conference programme, we will also be offering a tour of the facilities at the Nanyang Technological University Additive Manufacturing Centre. The tour is open to all conference attendees and will take place on Thursday 24th July, with coach transfers leaving the Biopolis at 16:00.
