By means of 3D plotting (extrusion of pasty materials) scaffolds and cell-loaded constructs can be fabricated easily out of a variety of different biomaterials. We have developed a technology for manufacturing of scaffolds, built up of core/shell and hollow strands, consisting of stiff materials in the shell and soft biopolymer hydrogels in the core part. Based on this technology we have started to develop implants and tissue engineered constructs for several types of tissues. |
