Aditi Chatterjee, Faculty Scientist, Institute of Bioinformatics
Dr. Aditi Chatterjee is a faculty member at the Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore. Prior to joining IOB, she was a member of the faculty at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. She was at Johns Hopkins University for 12 years, first as a Postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. David Sidransky and subsequently as an Instructor. Her work has focused on Translational Cancer Research with a special emphasis on breast, head and neck, lung, and bladder cancers. Her research focus has been in the following areas: (i) defining the molecular determinants of the response of tumor cells to chemotherapeutic agents; (ii) elucidating mechanisms of drug resistance in human cancers; and (iii) Understanding the role of cigarette smoke in resistance of cancers to chemotherapeutic agents. |
